Modern-day perfumery took off in the late 19th century with the development of modern chemical compounds, which allowed for the composition of perfumes with scents previously unattainable by using natural aromatics alone. Nevertheless, the art of making perfumes, began in ancient Mesopotamia and Egypt more than 4000 years ago and has ever since been evolving, becoming an essential part of everyday life. Our perfumes are single floral i.e. dominated by the scent of one particular flower - the Bulgarian Damascena Rose and their amazing scent comes from the Bulgarian rose oil and rose water that they contain.
